Meet AK
Hi, I'm Ashutosh Kumar.
A senior secondary maths teacher for JEE, CBSE, IB Diploma and AP Calculus. Making maths simple, without losing its depth, is my obsession. Mathemission collects what I've learned teaching it.
Why Mathemission exists
I started Mathemission with one belief: mathematics should be understood, not memorised. Too many students learn to follow steps without ever seeing why they work, and somewhere along the way they lose confidence. Mathemission is my attempt to change that: from rote to rational, from preaching to teaching, and from chasing marks to understanding the matter.
Three things every maths learner needs
- Calculation: the fluency to work accurately and with confidence.
- Application: the judgement to see which idea fits a problem you have never met before.
- Inspiration: the curiosity that keeps you going when a problem is hard.

- Live online classes in small batches. I have been teaching online since 2016.
- Mathactive Sunday, a free weekly letter for parents and teachers on how maths is learnt and taught.
My promise
Most of what is here is free, and I want to keep it that way. Every note, problem and solution is written and checked by me. If you spot a mistake or get stuck on a problem, write to me. I read every message.
